Concord Community Park is a beautiful park located in Concord, California. The park spans 27 acres and features a playground, picnic areas, walking trails, and a pond. The pond is home to ducks and geese and is a popular spot for fishing. The park also has a community garden where residents can grow fruits and vegetables.

The History of Concord Community Park

Concord Community Park was originally part of a ranch owned by John Muir. In the early 1900s, the City of Concord purchased the land from Muir's heirs to turn it into a park. The park was originally named Muir Park but was later renamed Concord Community Park.


The park underwent a major renovation in the mid-2000s, during which time the pond was dredged and new walking trails were added. The community garden was also expanded during this time. Today, Concord Community Park is one of the most popular parks in the city and is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

The Community Concord Pool is a great place for all sorts of people, from serious swimmers to families looking for some fun in their free time. This Olympic-sized facility contains heated vestibules with showers and closets as well. This community pool is a popular location for around 124, 000 swimmers per year.

There are many athletic fields open to the public at Concord 


Community Park for soccer, baseball/softball, disc golf, and more. If you want a quick game of basketball before heading home after your picnic under the covered shelters, there’s also an outdoor court available.
